Apostille and legalisation of Kazakhstan documents
remotely, without flying in
You are abroad, the document is in Kazakhstan. We obtain duplicate certificates and records from the civil registry, archives, universities and courts, place the apostille, arrange consular legalisation and notarised translation — and a courier brings the finished package to your door.
Free of charge. We will tell you the exact timeline, the price, and whether you need an apostille at all.

Sound familiar?
The document stayed in Kazakhstan while you live somewhere else. Flying over is expensive, annual leave is finite — and the certificate was needed yesterday.
01
You are asked for a document you do not have
A bank, a registry office, an immigration authority or a university demands a Kazakhstan certificate — and the original is lost, kept by relatives, or was never handed to you at all.
02
Relatives cannot get it done
Queues, refusals over the wrong set of papers, a missing power of attorney, requirements to apply in person. Every trip to a government office costs someone else a working day.
03
Nobody explains what you actually need
Apostille or consular legalisation? On the original or a certified copy? Is a translation required, and where should it be certified? One wrong turn means another month and paying twice.

Apostille or consular legalisation?
These are two different procedures. Which one you need depends on the country where the document will be submitted. We determine it free of charge — before any payment and before any work starts.
One authority
Apostille
A single stamp under the 1961 Hague Convention. Kazakhstan has been a party since 30 January 2001, so a Kazakhstan apostille is accepted in more than 120 countries.
Works for most of Europe, the USA, the UK, Türkiye and Israel
Issued by the Kazakhstan authority competent for that document type
From 3 working days
No additional consular certification needed
Several authorities
Consular legalisation
A multi-step procedure for countries outside the Hague Convention — Vietnam, Egypt or Qatar, for example. The document is certified in turn by the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the destination consulate.
Required when the receiving country does not recognise apostilles
Chain: notary → Ministry of Justice → MFA → consulate
From 10 working days
Consular fees of the destination country apply
Save money
Nothing at all
For Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and several other CIS states, civil registry documents usually need no apostille — the 1993 Minsk Convention applies. The original plus a notarised translation is enough.
Do not pay for a procedure you do not need
We verify the receiving authority's requirements first
If no apostille is needed, we say so
All that remains is obtaining and translating the document
The list of convention member states changes from time to time. Before starting we confirm the current requirements of the specific authority you are filing with.

How it works
Your involvement is two short steps at the very beginning. We do everything else and keep you updated at every stage.
What we need from you
A scan or photo of your passport
Document details: full name at the time of issue, date and place of the event
The country and authority where the document will be submitted
A notarised power of attorney (we help you arrange it)
1
Enquiry and free consultation
Tell us which document you need and for which country. Within 15 minutes we reply with the required procedure, the exact timeline and a fixed price.
2
Power of attorney
We send you the ready-made wording. You can execute it at a Kazakhstan consulate in your country, or before a local notary — in the latter case an apostille and translation are needed, and we guide you through it.
3
We obtain the document in Kazakhstan
We file with the registry office, archive, university, court or Legal Statistics Committee, track progress and collect the original.
4
Apostille, legalisation, translation
We take the document through the required authorities and, where needed, arrange a notarised translation that matches the receiving country's rules.
5
Scan and courier delivery
We send you a scan of the finished document to check, then ship the original by courier with a tracking number — typically 3 to 10 days to your door.

Clear terms instead of promises.

We do not sell you extras
If you do not need an apostille, or the document can be obtained more simply, we say so — even when it shrinks our invoice.

Frequently asked questions
Cannot find your question? Write to us and we will answer personally.
Do I need to travel to Kazakhstan?
No. The entire procedure runs on a notarised power of attorney: obtaining the document, the apostille, legalisation, translation and courier shipping all happen without you. Your presence is not required at any stage.
How do I execute a power of attorney from abroad?
Two options. First, a Kazakhstan embassy or consulate in your country — such a power of attorney is valid in Kazakhstan immediately. Second, a local notary, followed by an apostille and a notarised translation into Kazakh or Russian. We send you the exact wording in advance so the notary does not have to draft anything.
What is the difference between an apostille and consular legalisation?
An apostille is a single stamp under the 1961 Hague Convention: it is issued by one competent authority and accepted in every member state. Consular legalisation is required for countries outside the convention — the document is certified in turn by the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the destination consulate. We determine which one you need free of charge.
What if I do not need an apostille at all?
That happens often. Under the 1993 Minsk Convention, civil registry documents move between Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and several other CIS states without an apostille — the original plus a notarised translation is enough. If that is your case, we tell you straight away and will not charge for an unnecessary step.
How long is an apostille valid?
The apostille itself never expires. What is limited is the validity of the underlying document: a police clearance certificate or a certificate of no impediment to marriage is usually accepted for 3 to 6 months, and the exact period is set by the authority you submit it to.
My document was issued in the Kazakh SSR, before 1991. Is that possible?
Yes, we handle such requests regularly. Soviet-era civil status records are held by Kazakhstan's registry offices and state archives. The search usually takes longer than normal, and if the record has not survived we help re-establish the fact through the courts.
The record was made in a small town or village. Does that complicate things?
No. We work across the whole of Kazakhstan, including district registry offices and regional archives. The place of registration does not affect the price and affects the timeline only marginally.
Is the apostille placed on the original or on a copy?
It depends on what the receiving party requires. In Kazakhstan an apostille may be placed on the original document or on a notarially certified copy. We clarify this before filing so you do not have to go through the procedure twice.
Is a translation needed after the apostille?
Usually yes: the document and the apostille stamp are translated into the language of the receiving country. The translation can be done in Kazakhstan with notarial certification, or locally by a sworn translator — we advise which option will be accepted in your case.
How does payment work?
The price is fixed before work begins and recorded in the contract. We accept bank cards, international transfers and common payment services. State duties and consular fees are already included in the quoted amount.
How will I receive the originals?
First we send a scan of the finished document so you can verify every detail. Once you confirm, we ship the original by courier (DHL, FedEx, EMS) with a tracking number — delivery usually takes 3 to 10 days depending on the country.
What if the receiving authority rejects the document?
That can happen if the authority's requirements changed or were described inaccurately. We investigate the cause and reissue the document — if the mistake was ours, we cover the cost of putting it right.
